F.O.C cafe @ Bukit Jalil

Its dinner time again, so much brain juice is squeezed to figure out where to have our meal.
And we decided to go explore around the area near to where we live!

So in the end, we chose to eat at F.O.C cafe which is near to Restoran Al Madina.
And again, I chose to eat spaghetti. and this time round, its spaghetti cabonara!

FEATURED FOOD
Mixed Grill Platter (9/10)
You can choose either to have mushroom/black pepper sauce.
Both sauce are equally great.

It is well worth it, as it is only rm19.90 for the lamb and chicken. Not sure what is the green stuff, but me and my friend thought that the green sauce made the whole dish tasted like what people would normally eat at a fine-dining restaurant.

Chicken cabonara (7.5/10)
Quite strong flavor. Like all creamy foods, it gets a bit bland when you eat too much.
Try to share with others, as the portion is still considered big.
Portion of protein(chicken) in this meal is daebak! Maybe good for post-workout? (RM11.90)

Grilled chicken 7/10 (RM11.90)
this is solely rated based on my friend's feedback, as he is selfish to share his food. HAHAHAH hope he does not see this. LOL just joking!

Chicken sandwich (6/10) (RM9.90)

The service was very good. They gave us two cups of water and kept refilling it when we are almost finish drinking it for like 2-3times.

Its always exciting to try out new foods! Shall continue to go explore for more food options next time. Where are the good foods, people? XD

2nd visit  (21/6/2016)
Trio mushroom soup (8/10) <3 the soup so much, my friend mentioned that even if the portion is not big, it is still worth the price!! (RM7)

Bolognese (7.5/10) (RM10.90) Only managed to try one spoonful of this. lol when it comes to the portion, penne seems lesser than the spaghetti as the pasta option. (my opinion)

Lamb chop (8/10) The lamb is well-seasoned !mmm.. all those herbs/spices.. (RM12.90)

Seafood marinara (7.5/10) (RM12.90)
For these pasta options (seafood marinara, chicken cabonara and bolognese), you can choose either spaghetti or penne as your choice of pasta.

Wasn't expecting much from a regular-looking pizza, but woah the crust is so crispy.
Definitely 8.5/10 for this mushroom pizza (roasted mushrooms + tomato sauce & cheese!) pricing at RM10.90. This was the last dish I ate, and you can tell how full I was at that time. But I am still able to slot in this 4 piece of the pizza by myself and shared two of the pizza with my other 2 friends. =D

Imagine just three people eating all of these foods.
We have stuffed ourselves very well today (perhaps its celebration for the last week of class ?)
Even though our stomachs are full, we are still very satisfied and delighted with our second visit to the shop!

3rd visit (28/12/2016)
Seafood pizza(6.5/10) A taste of the ocean
Crispy chicken burger (7.5/10) I normally dont eat pickles, but the pickle is surprisingly good.

Lasagna (8.5/10)

Twenty5 Cafe @ Sri Petaling <3

Its been a long time since I post some updates on food hunting here.
But I just can't hold back my excitement of being able to eat two of my favorite foods at the same time - nasi lemak and spaghetti at twenty5 cafe. Me and my friend tried another two types of pasta besides the nasi lemak spaghetti.
Are you geared up to find out what we ordered? okay, probably not. haha

Fusion of nasi lemak and spaghetti, together? Like seriously?
Yeah, if you are a fan of these two foods, you will like this dish a lot.
haha the crazy thing is I ate this nasi lemak spaghetti in less than 10minutes and my friend have not even finish half of the food. Its either I was too hungry or the food is too good!
NASI LEMAK SPAGHETTI!!
Easily the highlight of this food hunt. (9/10) (RM22)

For all the nasi lemak and spaghetti lover, no longer need to fret thinking which to eat. LOL

Aglio olio fish fillet. Generous amount of herbs and nice flavoring.(8.5/10) (RM20)
Creamy mushroom pasta (7/10) Comparing this to the other two dishes, this would come in third place. (RM18)
Most of their foods are around the price range of 15- 20++.
By the way, best thing about this cafe is the portion! Period.
haha my friend was shocked at how I swallowed two big bowls of pasta with only 15minutes rest period.

Next time I shall come back with my friend and go for the pizza/ sandwich and cakes. Fingers crossed. MORE FOODS shall be devoured!

10 life lessons I learned this 1 month holiday break

Finally, my 1 month holiday is coming to an end with only about a week left, and its time to get back to uni to start getting busy.
During this break, I have taken some time to do self-inquiry and reflection about more of what life is all about. I don't wish to get deep into this, as recently I think that life doesn't require so much analysis. I was once so into self-help or personal development stuffs by reading tons of materials about it. And I realize that I have been missing out on life. Doing some self-reflection for a short time can be great, but spending way too much time to figure about life is just a waste of the precious time. To sum up what I learned throughout my pursue towards a better version of myself is that life is all about experience. And its a cycle of learn and move on. However, if we choose to hold onto the past and not moving on with life, we will suffer.

Not forgetting those awesome people that I went out together (or those that we interact virtually) this holiday, it was a blast being with them ! Each of them are unique with their expressions and I learn to love them equally as the person they are without imposing on them my expectations of what a friend should be like. I learned the most when I am going out with my friends. They helped me to change my fixed perspective on certain aspects of life and broaden my views about how exciting this world is.

And some lessons I learned recently this holiday:
Life lesson 1
When we are upset by the action of others, it is still not about them. It is never about them. It is about who we are believing them to be. Its our perception of who they are, and it can be true or false.

Life lesson 2
Ultimately, the relationship we are going to have is the relationships we have with our thoughts.
How do we react when we see others to be unkind, uncaring, manipulative? We may build up our defense systems and start building the "protective" barrier to prevent ourselves from getting hurt. Separation occurs and we no longer feel connected with others.
If we truly want to connect with others, we need to listen carefully to what others say or perhaps beyond it - We thought that they are trying to hurt us with their words, but sometimes they are just being honest in their expressions without the intention of hurting us.

Life lesson 3
One person may not want to be involved in your life, that doesn't mean others won't. Instead of getting angry or frustrated being ignored or rejected, use that as a burning fuel to strive towards a better you.

Life lesson 4
We hate it when other people's truth doesn't match with ours. As much as we hate it, there sometimes can be some substance behind what a person believes in. Be open minded and see what opinion the other person has to offer.

Life lesson 5
The world is a dynamic place where anything could go right and wrong. There is no certainty or fixed outcome. No one would know what would happen the next moment. And that is the exciting part about life - the unknown.

Life lesson 6

You don't need to be totally free of fear to try new things in life. You have got to decide that you want it more than you are afraid of the fear(eg. wanting the experience more than the fear) Be strong about your intention of why you are trying the new things, that could be the strongest factor to motivate you to continue exploring the new.

Life lesson 7

Don't be sad about your losses and waste time on thinking so much about it, keep forging forward and something good will come to fruition.

Life lesson 8
Changing people, places or things is impossible and hopeless! Let them be. We can offer people help to change for the better, but ultimately we should always respect the decision of how they want to live their life.
The only person we can change is ourselves - the way we choose to perceive or respond to certain incidents in life. (Realize how hard it is for others to convince us to change our fixed belief.)

Life lesson 9
Life is so much more fun without needing to analyze every seconds of it.

Life lesson 10
When we put ourselves out there in this world, whether we are performing in front of the world or seeking for love etc., we are taking the risk of our audience not responding in the way we opt for. Any failures, rejections, divorce should only be looked at as one event in life, and never our whole life. Get out and get "crushed"! And build yourself up again into a stronger version than before with the shattered pieces - we are stronger than we think.

Additional: Be grateful. For all the people and all the events in your life. Cherish those who you love and those who love you. Group hug everyone!

Till then, take care beautiful people!

Pasar Malam/Night Market @ Sri Petaling

Last Tuesday, me and my friend just went to the night market at Sri Petaling to satisfy our forever-hungry stomach. This night market can be visited every Tuesday at Sr Petaling beginning from evening. (around 5pm onwards)

It is quite crowded over here. Cars, people everywhere lol.

Started off with some iced drinks before trying out some foods. (Drank half in like 10 seconds once I bought it)

Coconut ice cream topped with peanuts and corns. Woah I have got to say it taste really good, even though I am not an ice cream lover.

The price is so reasonable and affordable!! The signature coconut ice cream would be the best!

Coconut ice cream RM5 - Another photo of the coconut ice cream !

Salted egg fried chicken (SMALL) RM6 - This is what I bought home for supper as my stomach couldn't handle any more food. This would suit those who like some strong flavor with their foods. But it is pretty oily. haha but who cares, its only once in a while right?

Char koay teow(BIG) RM 6

There are around ~5 stores of char koay teow, haha choose wisely. Luckily me and my friend chose the right one I guess, since both of us agree that the char koay teow here tasted way better than we expected.

Oops, no more coconut ice cream. =X

Black stinky tofu RM6 -We were very glad that we chose to try out this black stinky tofu. We was going to walk away because of the "pungent" smell it gives off. But we still go for it. And I think both of us didn't regret giving a try.

As only two of us went for this pasar malam trip, we have gotten quite full after eating the foods as shown in the pictures above.

I think soon we will have another visit to the night market to try out the stinky yellow tofu (there is often a long queue in front of the store) and also more foods like fishballs, siew mai etc. =D

Free-trial at Fit Factor Gym @ Taman Perindustrian Bukit OUG

Its a brand new year 2016.
Similar to previous years, my new year resolutions haven't changed much, it is still to get into a better shape and have a healthier lifestyle. Hope that I could consistently work out more often this year !

Me and my friends have decided to go for a free-trial session at Fit Factor Gym this morning. We went to eat some foods in mcd as a pre-workout meal before heading off to the gym to burn some fats. haha probably a good idea to make us more motivated in the gym considering the fats we have eaten.

Time for some serious workout!

Before making the fats crying for help, you can keep your valuable belongings (wallet, mobile phone) in the lockers provided. *Our bags are too big to fit into the lockers. =="
Locker and dressing room There are also two small restroom beside the dressing room. One of them is equipped with a shower head.

They do sell shakes here with the price fixed. And there is also energy drink (Gorilla) and 100 plus for sales in the fridge beside.

I saw someone left his protein shake in the fridge before working out. Nice move! How nice it is to drink your icy cold protein shake after a hot sweaty grueling gym session.

The cardio area (stationary bikes and treadmill)

Still figuring out the use of the machine on the right side.

You can refill your water here! Just be sure to bring your water bottle! I forgot to bring mine haha

Never skip leg workout!!

Wide selection of weights. How heavy can you lift? 15 for me.  =/

So considerate for the other gym users. *applause

Tried doing chest dips using this. Couldn't go more than 3reps.

My fav chest press machine having a "transformer" feel towards it.

Besides all of these machines, they have a few yoga mats and an ab roller for individuals who likes bodyweight exercises. *be sure to bring a towel to cover the yoga mat though.

My friend is training like a boss here.
Gotta thank him for giving us guidance on how to workout more effectively.

Training the core! (on the way to six pack abs.)

Everyone is feeling good after the "torture" is finally coming to an end.

Overall, I had a great workout here with my friends. It is a great place to workout, as they keep the place windy by having their windows widely opened, unlike some gyms that may feel stuffy.  I love the workout music they played over there as well. It gets me more motivated to finish the workout!!
We had a post-workout meal over at Nathan's Corner.  Me and my friend ordered nasi briyani and it turns out to be quite satisfying to the taste bud together with a glass of limau ais. =D

If you are interested to go, you could take lrt there as this gym is located very near to the lrt station muhibbah (walking distance)

The address is No. 15-2, Jalan 6/155, Taman Perindustrian Bukit OUG, 58200 Kuala Lumpur. It is also in the same row as  Nathan's corner and just above 7-eleven store.
Contact them at 603-7773 2157

Let's get fit this year 2016!

Goal : Greek God physique ( maybe in my dreams)
Hoping dreams could translate into reality. =D
